While the boys were turkey hunting we went to see some great friends! Jerry and Margaret were in town for one of her volleyball tournaments so we went down to the convention center to catch a couple games. I am hoping to make a little volleyball player out of this girl yet!

13 weeks and back to work

This maternity leave has gone by way to fast. It has been amazing watching this little guy grow. He has been such a happy baby.

 Getting stronger every day.
My first day at "daycare". He is lucky enough to spend the month with Grandma and it gives mommy piece of mind to know he is in good hands
I could just stare at this face all day long.

Turkey Hunting

Ben was so excited for his weekend of Turkey Hunting with Grandpa and Dad. We actually pulled him out of school a little early on Friday so they could get an early start on the weekend. The night before I helped him pack his bag. Every piece of camo gear he owns was packed in his bag.
If you don't know anything about turkey hunting it starts early! The guys were up the first morning and ready to go at 4am, Ben included. This was only after Ben woke Grandpa up in the middle of the night asking if it was time to go yet! He was excited to say the least.
Ben started in Dad's blind. He lasted until about 10 am and then he needed a little break so they took the four wheeler out for a spin. Then it was back to Great Grandpa and Grandma's for a little break.
Sunday he was still a little tired from the early start on Saturday and after a little hot cocco he was asleep in Grandpa's open air blind.
And again when he got bored it was back on the four wheeler.
 I LOVE this face!!!
Dad said he did a pretty good job driving this thing. It is such a great thing to see him spending this quality time with Dad and Grandpa.
They did not even see a turkey that weekend but they sure had a great time.

11 weeks and growing up fast

Our little guy is growing up fast. He is starting to transition from being content lying on his pillow to wanting (or demanding) that he be upright sitting or held. He continues to be such a happy baby.
As I prepare to return to work in a week I am trying to take advantage of every snuggle moment I get with him.
He is starting to outgrow this great pillow. When he kicks his legs he is able to scoot his little body off the bottom of it.
He has also started sitting up in the Bumbo seat. I think he likes feeling like a part of meal time when he can sit up on the table with the rest of us.
Snoozing outside during all this nice April weather.
And of course he continues to get lots of sibling love from the other three.
 We love you buddy!!

Morning at the Park

This morning Shanon picked Olivia up and took her to the park with Kinsley and Emma. It was a late start day so as soon as I had Ben off to school Jameson, Harrison and I joined the girls. Olivia and Kinsley were all smiles and running around when I got there. It is so fun to see these girls together. They don't get to see each other often enough but when they do it is as if no time as passed.

Spring Break Week

Ben and I had a great week together. Tuesday and Wednesday it was just the two of us with Harrison. We went to the pool and took his buddy Jack with us. After I took the boys to DQ for a little treat.
Wednesday Ben biked while I went for a run. Then in the afternoon we went to Skyzone. That place is a WORKOUT! Not going to lie, I was a little sore the next day.
So we managed to make it all the way through Skyzone without any injuries. Then we were walking through Target on the way home and ended up with this big goose egg on his head. In true Ben form he was not watching where he was going and he ran right into the pole in the isle. Almost instantly it stuck out a good 1/2 inch.
We also had our first BBQ with friends. We all went to the Julien's for an impromptu dinner. It was a beautiful night for hot dogs on the grill and S'mores for dessert!
