Finest Playa Mujeres

Trevor and I have not had a relaxing beach vacation away since our honeymoon. We thought after 11 years it was time for the two of us to get away. We decided that without having to take a long flight or spend an arm and a leg that returning to Mexico was the way to go but this time we opted for the all inclusive and man are we glad we did! After spending an entire morning back in January trying to figure out where to go and going back an forth on a few resorts this is the place we decided on. It was like finding a hidden treasure.
The view from our room at Finest Playa Mujeres.
The icing on the cake as we took a tour around our room was to find a Nepresso machine!
The beach was unreal and the beach side service was even better.
Each morning we took a nice walk down the beach. There was not another hotel for at least 2 miles.
I like the view of the ocean but....
Trevor LOVED being in the ocean!
After a full day in the sun it was time to get cleaned up and head to dinner at the amazing restaurants. We tried a different one each night including a traditional outdoor Mexican fiesta the last night with more tasty food that you could ever consume.
And after dinner and a few drinks we had some good laughs on the beach
Or enjoyed a Michael Jackson show which was crazy good.
As much as we liked the food at dinner the breakfast might have been even a little better. We ate breakfast at the same place every morning overlooking the water.
This is pretty much what Trevor looked like all week. Completely relaxed and drink in hand.
 Walking back towards our resort
Sitting pool side (funny we felt more at home on the family side of the pool surrounded by kids as opposed to the adults only side)
The bartender at the swim up bar taught Trevor about our new favorite summer drink, an iceberg,
XX with a little frozen margarita floating on top.
We missed the kids like crazy but it was so nice to spend some quality time together and we can't wait until our next get away (hoping to make it sooner than 11 years)
