skate, skate, skate

Ben is taking some skating lessons this spring with Will Moseley down the street and Will's cousin. He just loves being on the ice and is doing really well. He now skates and balances without a hockey stick in his hand and can go in and out between the cones.

Spring Where are you?

Spring in the Knight household cannot come soon enough. We have had a rough winter full of illness. It seems it is one right after the other. At one point this winter we had 5 weeks in row with at least one person puking in the house. In total I counted 9 rounds of the stomach flu, 5 rounds of fevers, 3 nasty colds and we topped it off with a trip to the ER for Jameson last night. Oh, how I cannot wait to open my windows and air out this joint!

Jameson woke up yesterday with a cough that progressed into some tough breathing and wheezing so when the nebulizers at home were not working we took him to the ER. After three rounds of nebs there and an oral steroid we were on our way home. He is doing much better today and is getting the hang of the whole nebulizer thing.... He is one independent little man.

A White Easter

The snow on the ground outside did not stop the Easter Bunny from leaving goodies at our house! This year the bunny just hid the eggs inside and the kids could hardly wait to find what the Easter Bunny had left them in their baskets and in the eggs around the house.
Ben was so good about making sure every other egg was put in either Olivia's or Jameson's basket
Jameson wasn't really sure what to think but he like the ones that looked like a soccer ball, baseball or football.

After church we tried to grab a few quick pictures before all the family arrived for brunch and the kids changed out of their nice Easter outfits... Lets just say we were moderately successful.
Happy Easter to all our family and friends!

Updated Kitchen

The winter project at the Knight house was giving our kitchen what I like to call the poor man's face lift so here is the end result...

Something is MISSING?!

What better way to spend St. Patrick's Day than by losing a TOOTH! Ben has talked about his loose tooth for some time now. At first we just thought he was pretending his tooth was loose because his friends have lost some teeth but then little by little the tooth wiggled more and more. Lately the new tooth under had even been causing the baby tooth to shift so it looked like he might have already lost one. Today he came to me again and said "mom pull out my loose tooth" I said okay get me a paper towel. When that didn't work I told him we could tie a string around it and that is exactly what I did. I tied a little piece of dental floss around that tooth and with one swift yank IT WAS OUT!
At first he cried a little, more cause he was scared than the fact that it might have hurt a little.
But then after I reminded him the tooth fairy would be making a stop at our house tonight he was all smiles and couldn't wait for Dad to come home so he could show him the missing tooth.

Jameson Updates

After many months of trips to the doctor, medications and sleepless night we may finally have some relief. Yesterday morning Jameson had tubes placed in his little ears. The procedure is so quick it is amazing. The doctor came to talk to us after and felt this was really the best option for him after the way his ears looked. He told us they were pretty infected, inflamed and full of fluid so Jameson may be a little uncomfortable for the rest of the day but in true Jameson form he was happy as could be once we got him home.

Jameson also officially started walking over the weekend. Now prior to this weekend he was taking little steps here and there but now he actually prefers to walk and he is all over the place and loves to show off his new skills.

Winter Fun

With some of this COLD Minnesota weather we have had the Knight kids have tried to find ways to have fun indoors.
Jameson is getting so big and he is such a climber. He has been way more interested in climbing than walking.
One morning we had all three kids on the couch with their little bowl of cereal and I think Jameson thought he was pretty cool sitting between his older siblings.
Trevor and I joined the Williston Center for the winter months so the kids can swim at the splash pad and play in the Tree House. Jameson and Olivia are getting more and more comfortable in the water and Ben is a fish as always...
